My picture won! Wohoo!!! Well, I did not actually win anything. The good folks at www.gadling.com picked my photo as the picture of the day last October 22, 2008 . I am so happy that I will ignore the fact that they misspelled my name. I guess this makes the trip to Portulano resort worth it. A lot of things happened during that trip. Fertility totems and white sandy beaches

I received a weird postcard from my mother a few months ago. Not that she sends out postcards; she has been doing so on an almost regular basis since she went on vacation. It was weird because the postcard depicted 2 African fertility statues from Ripley's that were supposedly responsible for thousands of women getting pregnant simply by touching them. I wonder.
