Chowking's Fried Siopao. Photos by Jep | Flickr I must admit that I'm a little late in realizing this, but does anybody else think these fried asado siopao from Chowking are so good? I also like the size, just enough for a couple of bites. Ordered a few boxes of 4 for snacking later. 😅
A tray of Maki bought from the supermarket. Flickr/Jep I was at a local grocery store earlier today to buy some kibbles for my cats and I noticed that they were selling these near the fresh produce section. It doesn't have any raw fish or anything easily perishable like that and consists mostly of cucumber, seaweed, rice, mango, and kani. They looked nice so I thought I'd buy a tray. Big mistake, the rice was obviously not sushi rice and was a tad bit undercooked. I definitely did not enjoy them. At least they looked pretty.

Last December, I discovered a wonderful place for diabetics to go out and have those desserts they always craved for but could not eat because of their situation. The place is called "Sugar-Not" located in Megamall. Ironically, I discovered it when I was just finishing off my regular yearly medical checkup and my doctor was admonishing me for not keeping my blood sugar in check. Prepare it with some fresh basil leaves, crumbled feta cheese, some sliced black olives, and drenched in extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Yum yum yum.
